From November 3 through November 8, the AEON Japan-US All-Star Series 2006 will be held in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka, Japan. This year, once again top players from Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) will compete against their counterparts from Major League Baseball (MLB). The NPB team will be led by Katsuya Nomura, the manager of Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, and the MLB team will be headed by San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy.
Nikon is an official sponsor of this event and Nikon Billboard will be displayed on the wall of the dugout and on the home plate rotational panels at all baseball stadiums where the games take place. Nikon logos will also appear on cameraman bibs.
All-Star Series 2006 will consist of five games preceded by a friendly match in Tokyo on November 2 in which the MLB team goes head-to-head against the Yomiuri Giants. These six games will be broadcast live throughout Japan.
Nikon also participated in the World Baseball Classic 2006 and it also supports baseball through MLB.
