Ice hockey is one of the most popular sports in Russia. The Kontinental Hockey League can rightly boast to have some of the strongest hockey teams in the world and is famous not only in Russia but across much of Europe as well.
Nikon is proud of its sponsorship of ice hockey in Russia. When this sponsorship started two years ago the strongest league in Eurasia was called the Super League, but the name was changed to the "Kontinental Hockey League" (KHL) last year.
During about seven months of play this season, a total of maximum 761 games—672 regular games and maximum 89 playoffs—will be held. The Nikon logo will be displayed at all hockey rinks for all official games and Nikon will conduct various promotional activities.
