Notice on Dissolution and Liquidation of Subsidiary Corporation
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Nikon Corporation on March 29, 2002, a decision was made to dissolve Sagami Optical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, on June 30, 2002, as detailed below.
- Reason of dissolution
Sagami Optical Co., Ltd. was established in September 1990 to handle primarily high-precision processing of plane optical glass and polishing of glass disk substrate.
The decision was made to dissolve the corporation due to continued poor performance combined with little reasonable expectation of increased demand in the future.
