Nikon Geotecs Co., Ltd. (Takeshi HIRAI, President)*1 and Asia Optical International Ltd. (Head office: The Virgin Islands)*2 have established ‘Dong Guan Nikon Surveying Instruments Co., Ltd’ in Dong-Guan City, Guang Dong Province, China and its operation will start around the middle of October 2002.
This new company will deal with Nikon surveying instruments (Total stations, Theodolites) and be in charge of manufacturing. The new company will enhance the cost position of Nikon Geotecs's business, and urge further penetration into the emerging and potential Chinese market.
