New Color for the Nikon F50/F50D AF SLR: The Nikon Silver-finish F50/F50D

Nikon will present a new color version of its popular, easy-to-use Nikon F50 35mm (135) format AF SLR : the Nikon silver-finish F50/F50D.

Major features

  • Stylish silver-colored body.
  • Simple mode lets a photographer select among four(4) full-auto programs [ 1). General-Purpose, 2). Landscape, 3). Portrait, and 4). Close-up].
  • Advanced mode lets a photographer select among 8 programs [the four(4) programs available in Simple mode plus 5). Sport, 6). Silhouette, 7). Night Scene, 8). Motion Effect ] and three(3) exposure modes [ 1). Shutter-Priority Auto, 2). Aperture-Priority Auto, and 3). Manual ] perfect for making creative photography very simple to control.
  • External LCD panel employs a large dot matrix display.
  • Six-segment 3D Matrix Metering system (with D-type* AF Nikkor lens) assures that the desired effect is attained in a wide variety of lighting situations, including backlit scenes.
  • Built-in TTL Speedlight (illumination angle covers the image angle of 35mm lens).
    Note : All product specifications, including those listed above, but excluding the silver-finish body's color, are identical to those for the Nikon black-finish F50/F50D that was introduced in 1994.

* The "D" of D-type lenses refers to distance.
An internal encoder is linked to the lens focusing ring, and transmits the shooting distance to the camera body automatically.
