May 1997
In time for summer, Nikon presents the 8x25CF WP/RA II (photo: below) and the 10x25CF WP/RA II (photo: above) --- two waterproof compact binoculars offering sharp, clear views even when exposed to rain or splashing water.
Practical appeal
The 8x25CF WP/RA II and 10x25CF WP/RA II
waterproof binoculars are ideal for everyone who enjoys such outdoor leisure activities as marine sports and camping in wet or dry weather,
and feature a new design inspired by a shell's contours.
Major features
The nitrogen gas-filled body prevents fogging that can otherwise result when binoculars are exposed to sudden changes in temperature. Rubber armour provides shock resistance and a firm, comfortable grip for secure handling under severe outdoor conditions.
The exterior shape is inspired by a shell's contours.
Long eye relief (distance between eyepiece lenses and eyepoint where the entire field can be viewed without vignetting) provides wide-field views to people wearing eyeglasses.
Multilayer coated lenses and advanced optics keep views beautifully bright and clear at all times, in keeping with Nikon's uncompromising heritage.
Click-type dioptre adjustment ring (adjustable in 0.5 dioptre increments) prevents user from rotating the ring inadvertently.
