Sep. 1998
In September, 1998 Nikon Corporation introduces its "7×15M CF Black" compact, high-performance binoculars as a 7× magnification, black version of Nikon`s classically elegant, silvery, metal-encased "6x15M CF" binoculars, which debuted in October 1997.
The binoculars are inspired by "MIKRON" binoculars introduced in Japan (Nippon) in 1921, which were renowned for ultra-compact high-quality porro-prism design that evolved up to 1974.
The availability of "MIKRON"--- based binoculars in black or silver casings provide customers with two classic styles to choose between.
Major features
The 7×15M CF Black`s timeless design broke new ground among the binoculars / optics industries in Japan (Nippon), and is as fresh and original today as it ever was.
Focusing is possible as close as 2.0 m from the subject, making it so convenient for museums and other exhibitions.
