Tokyo, Japan (Nippon) 1998-03-16 --- Nikon proudly presents the latest in its line of digital cameras,
the COOLPIX 900 (E900).
This compact, ultra high-resolution camera is an embodiment of Nikon's cutting-edge optical and digital technologies.
The camera is designed to provide sharp high-resolution images with excellent color and contrast. Its outward appearance is equally sharp, as it comes in a stylish aluminum chassis.
The COOLPIX 900 is a high-quality digital camera, inside and out.
For sharp, clean images and superb color, the COOLPIX 900 incorporates a 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens (5.8 to 17.4mm (35mm [135] format equivalent to 38 to 115mm) with macro ), specially designed to deliver superior performance.
Super-high resolution is provided by a 1.3 Megapixel (image size 1,280 x 960 pixel) CCD.
To capture those images that might otherwise be missed,
the COOLPIX 900 features high-speed continuous shooting at a rate of 1 frames / 4 sec. (1,280 x 960 ; Normal mode) and 2 frames / sec. (VGA mode), greatly enhancing the camera's considerable value.
And the 2-in. low-temperature, polysilicon TFT LCD provides stable images, while also allowing images to be displayed one at a time or in a nine(9)-segment thumbnail format.
The following software applications are bundled with the COOLPIX 900 :
PhotoDeluxe 2.0 photo-editing software (by Adobe Systems Inc.) and
