Tokyo, Japan (Nippon) 1998-10, --- Taking its heritage of innovation in the fast-changing photographic industry to a higher level, Nikon presents the COOLPIX 900 (E900S) --- a new digital camera that improves upon the company's successful COOLPIX 900 (E900) by advancing compact, operational convenience and 1.3 megapixel resolution imaging performance that reproduces excellent color and contrast.
The new COOLPIX 900 (E900S) includes some features refined from its predecessor E900 and added new features, as well as new accessories, for faster processing and better digital photography :
Shorter time intervals when switching between modes ( 1) OFF to REC / PLAY mode, 2) REC mode to PLAY mode, 3) REC / PLAY mode to OFF)
Shorter exposure compensation steps (from 1EV per step to 1/2 EV per step), up to +/-2 EV
"Auto OFF" mode (with selectable switchoff after 30 sec., 1, 5, or 30 min. of non-use)
"Card format" function which enables to delete unwanted images even in PLAY mode
The included 8MB Compact Flash card stores up to 12 images in Fine mode, 24 images in Normal mode and 48 images in Basic mode
Recall of selected flash mode after power has been turned off

Multi-flash sync terminal for easier multiple flash photography with external Nikon Speedlight SB-28 / 26 / 25 / 24 / 22s /22 through the Multi-Flash Bracket Unit SK-E900 for E900S (optional)
Lens cap provided to protect the Zoom-Nikkor lens
