Nikon is pleased to announce the introduction of the long awaited AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED high-power zoom lens.
This telephoto zoom lens features a zoom ratio of 4.3x in a compact body, covering the medium telephoto (70mm) to telephoto (300mm) range.
It employs an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element to compensate for chromatic aberration which is often found in telephoto lenses, and achieves superior lens performance --- all at an affordable price.
In addition, this new lens is a D-type Nikkor --- meaning that it provides distance information to most Nikon AF SLR cameras for the highest quality advanced exposure and flash control.
