Nikon Corporation (YOSHIDA, Shoichiro, president) 's subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Nikon UK Limited (MASAI, Toshiyuki, managing director) will be attending
the "12th British Birdwatching Fair"
which will be held on 2000-08-18 (Fri) to 20 (Sun) at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre, Egleton Nature Reserve on the shores of Rutland Water.
Nikon UK Ltd have exhibited at the show since the inaugural fair in 1988.
The "British Birdwatching Fair" is promoted jointly by the RSPB and the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. The main sponsor is in focus a Nikon Binocular Specialist Dealer.
Ten percent of all sales at the "Bird Fair", as well as ticket sales, goes towards a chosen Bird conservation charity each year. So far 500,000- pound sterling has been raised by the "BBWF" since it started towards bird conservation. This year the "Bird Fair" will be raising money to support Birdlife International's "Save the Albatross" Campaign.
Amongst the many attractions and activities at this year's fair will be a comprehensive programme of talks and seminars on each day of the show with world-renowned birders covering a variety of topics.
Nikon FieldScope III and Field Image System
The world's largest Bird Fair, with an attendance of 15,000 people over the course of the weekend, is the ideal place to launch new binoculars and scopes so look out for the new "8x30EII" and "10x35EII" series binoculars as well as the new "Spotting Scope 80".
There will also be the full range of Nikon photographic equipment on display.
Nikon is one of 220 exhibitors this year and will be located in the Optics Marquee with views overlooking Rutland water, enabling customers to put the products through their paces.
Everyone that test drives any Nikon equipment will be able to enter a prize draw to win a new "Spotting Scope 80" straight body with a "33x wide eyepiece".
