TOKYO - Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce on September 18, 2001 the introduction of a black version of the Nikkor 45mm f/2.8 P manual-focus lens for 35mm cameras.
The new version was developed in response to popular demand for a black lens to match Nikons black-bodied FM3A SLR camera.
The lens is targeted at advanced amateur-level photographers looking for a compact manual-focus lens that works well with manual-focus cameras like the Nikon FM3A SLR.
The Nikkor 45mm f/2.8 Ps new Tessar-type optical design allows for a comparatively compact, thin lens. The lens is packed with such Nikon advances as a high-performance Nikon Super Integrated Coating and a rounded diaphragm opening, which makes out-of-focus objects appear more natural. Featuring a built-in CPU, the lens is compatible with all exposure modes of Nikon SLRs currently on the market, including the F5, F100, F80, F65 and new FM3A cameras.
