Illuminators & Polarizing Attachment

•P-ICI2 Coaxial Episcopic Illuminator

The P-ICI2 uses a 12V-100W fiber-optical light source (C-FI) to obtain bright illumination over the entire surface being observed. The thickness of the 1/4-lambda plate for the supplied coaxial has been reduced to minimize the influence of spherical aberrations in high-NA objectives. (The zoom magnifications that can be used vary with each objective. Please inquire for details.)
•C-FIR Ring Fiber Illuminator (12V-100W halogen)

This illuminator incorporates a 12V-100W halogen lamp with reflection mirrors. It supplies conical-shaped light through an optical fiber from above the sample to it center, minimizing unwanted shadows. Ideal for photomicrography.
•C-FID Bifurcated Illuminator (12V/100W halogen)

Light from a fiber transformer with built-in 12V-100W halogen lamp and reflective mirror passes through two flexible arms of optical fibers that can be adjusted to obtain the desired direction and angle of illumination.

•C-DSLS Lamp House (6V-20W halogen)

The light source is a 6V-20W halogen lamp. This illuminator has a flexible arm that can be freely bent, allowing it to be mounted externally for use in epi-fluorescence illumination. It can also be mounted on the C-DS diascopic stand.
•SMZ-U Epi Arm

This arm allows the C-DSLS lamp house or G-LS Epi-Fl Attachment to be mounted to a stand.
•G-LS Epi-Fl Attachment (6V-10W halogen)

The light source is a 6V-10W halogen lamp from which reflected light of sufficient brightness can be obtained. The G-LS is mounted to the C-PS plain stand, and the illumination angle is easily adjusted.

•G-EIA Flexible Arm

This arm can be freely bent and mounted to the required location on the G-LS Epi-Fl Attachment.
•C-FPS Fluorescent Illuminator

This ring-shaped fluorescent lamp provides even, shadow-free illumination for the entire viewing field. The C-FPS uses a long-life 160V-30mA cold cathode fluorescent lamp that illuminates as soon as the switch is turned on.
•LED Illuminator

This illuminator is a high brightness type incorporating 60 long-life white LEDs. It includes a light adjustment function that suppresses flicker.

•C-POL Polarizing Attachment

Double refraction images of thin fragments or samples of ore and rock can be observed by passing transmitted light to a polarizer on the stage and an analyzer set onto the objective.
