Introduction to Digiscoping
STEP.2 Getting started with digiscoping Part 1: Equipment
Choosing appropriate equipment

Fieldscopes Eyepieces Bracket/Attachment Digital Cameras

Eyepieces Eyepieces Wide DS Fieldscope / Eyepieces/MC Fieldscope Eyepieces

16x/24x/30x Wide DS Fieldscope Eyepiece
Use a wide DS Fieldscope eyepiece to easily connect a Nikon Fieldscope to a bracket and COOLPIX digital camera. The wide DS Fieldscope eyepiece has been specially developed for digiscoping. As this is very convenient for shooting, we recommend that you use a wide DS Fieldscope eyepiece when performing full scale digiscoping.
Use an MC eyepiece to simultaneously carry out observations by eye. The MC eyepiece comes with a turn-and-slide rubber eyecup. Several attachments are necessary when shooting.
Please note that it is more difficult to use an MC eyepiece than a wide DS Fieldscope eyepiece when shooting. An example of the difficulty can be the occurrence of vignetting.
To begin with, use a lower magnification eyepiece (16x/24x/30x wide DS). Even when capturing close-up images, start with a lower magnification eyepiece.
After you get used to it, add a much higher magnification eyepiece to broaden your shooting potential and range.
