Digiscoping with SLR cameras

Digiscoping with digital SLR cameras and Fieldscopes

*Spotting Scopes cannot be used

With even higher image quality,
serious supertelephoto photography* is possible.

Special camera attachment fits directly to the F mount of a Nikon digital SLR camera, and attachment to a Fieldscope is easy. An eyepiece is not required.

You can use either the aperture priority auto or the manual exposure mode.

You can use either the center weighted metering or the spot metering method. (With the D2x, the multi-pattern metering mode is also available.)

All lenses are multi-coated and have excellent optical design.

* When using all Fieldscope ED82 and ED78 series :
Focal distance: 1,500 mm Aperture: f13
*When using Fieldscope III, II or I series :
Focal distance: 1,200 mm Aperture: f13
(Focal distances are expressed in 35 mm camera equivalents)

Note
Focusing: You cannot use the camera's autofocus function or other focusing aids, so focus is achieved using the focusing ring on the Fieldscope. Digiscoping is supertelephoto photography, so please use caution to avoid camera shake.
