NIKON, ASML AND CARL ZEISS SIGN DEFINITIVE SETTLEMENT AND CROSS-LICENSE AGREEMENT

TOKYO, Japan – February 18, 2019 – Nikon Corporation signed a definitive settlement and cross-license agreement relating to a comprehensive settlement of all legal proceedings over patents for lithography equipment and digital cameras with ASML Holding N.V. and Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH.
This agreement is based on the Memorandum of Understanding announced by the three companies on January 23, 2019 and accordingly, all stayed legal proceedings between the parties will be dismissed.
