Nikon 1 V3, Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses, recipient of Design for Asia Awards 2014 Silver Award

TOKYO - Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that the Nikon 1 V3, Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses is the recipient of a Design for Asia Awards 2014 Silver Award in the Professional and Commercial Products category. The design of the Nikon 1 V3 has been extremely well received. In addition to this award, the Nikon 1 V3 was also the recipient of a Good Design Award 2014, sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.

Launched in 2003 and supported by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Design for Asia Awards is the flagship program of Hong Kong Design Centre.
Design for Asia Awards judges are highly recognized local or international design professionals and experts who select the best designs from 18 categories for Gold, Silver, Bronze awards and Merit Recognition.

The Nikon 1 V3

The Nikon 1 V3, Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses, that boasts superior moving-subject tracking performance with the world's fastest*1 high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 20 fps with AF tracking, and up to approximately 60 fps when focus is locked, as well as the world's shortest*2 shooting time lag, all in a compact and lightweight body that is extremely agile. It offers an operational system that users of digital SLRs will find familiar. It is also the first Nikon 1 camera to be equipped with a tilting LCD monitor that enables flexible shooting from any angle, and a touch-screen panel that offers simple and intuitive operation. In addition, the Nikon 1 V3 is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi® function that allows users to easily transfer and share high-quality images.
