Nikon to support "The 141st Open Championship"

Nikon Corporation (Makoto Kimura, President) is pleased to announce its patronage of the 141st Open Championship, to be held from July 19 to 22, 2012 at England's Royal Lytham and St. Annes. The Open Championship is the world's oldest and most traditional golf tournament, as well as one of the world's four major golfing events*.

Nikon has been a patron of the Open Championship since 1993 and celebrates its 20th year as a supporter of this historical and popular event.

As a patron, prominent Nikon branding will be present around the course, while Nikon’s latest range of digital cameras and sport optics will be on display on site. In addition, spectators will be able to take advantage of the Nikon binocular loan service.

At the event, Nikon will offer a host of activities, including an experiential area where visitors have the opportunity to have their putting stroke analyzed by a PGA professional whilst showcasing the quality of the new COOLPIX P310 compact digital camera.

Nikon's promotional activities will be conducted on-site during the event to add to the excitement of the Championship.

Furthermore, Nikon Professional Services (NPS) will be setting up a service depot offering equipment maintenance, cleaning, repair and loan for professional photographers covering the event.

To live up to its role as an official patron of this prestigious tournament, Nikon will make available a wide range of support activities for professional photographers and visitors alike.
